This course intends to kindle the flame of knowledge about information technology in the heart and minds of students and lead them towards running themselves with pace of the information technology revolution. It aims to provide a strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, programming basics, logical and numerical methods, networking and internet, database and applications packages.

The Programme – Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)- Aims to provide strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, programming basics, logical and numerical methods, networking and internet, database and applications packages.

Course Objectives:

  • To disseminate the advance knowledge in Information Technology.
  • To develop core competencies in Computer Applications.
  • To create efficient professionals in IT industries.
  • 12th Pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks or its equivalent
  • Mathematics is not compulsory in HSC

Duration: Three years(6 Semesters)

  • New academic Curriculum starts from June
  • It includes two semesters in a year
  • First semester begin with July to December and second is from January to April.
  • First semester exam will be held in month of November-December
  • Second semester exam will be held in month of April-May
  • Paper pattern will be 60:40 choice based with grading system

Students of graduate degree program B.C.A. at the time of graduation will be able to gain

  • Knowledge of computer fundamentals: Here foundation of the subject becomes strong.
  • Knowledge of programming basics.
  • Introduction of logical and numerical methods: Necessary to develop logical thinking.
  • Knowledge of computer networking.
  • Knowledge of database management.
  • Opportunity of entrepreneurship: The student can startup his own business firm or company of
    software development as well related software solutions.
